CMR Interiors, LLC

The Design Process:

First Meeting:

Getting acquainted with clients, and making sure we are all on the same page in terms of expectations, timing, and proposed approximate budget. We will examine the current décor and uncover the client’s needs, concerns, and desired outcome for the project. Meeting is not a design consultation and lasts approximately 30 minutes. We like to visit the clients home briefly for this meeting so we can see what kind of construction is needed for the design work to be pleasing as the end result.

Contract Meeting:

Meet to sign project agreement, answer any questions clients may have, collect retainer.

Design Intent Meeting:

After proper measurements, documentation of goods that stay, and mechanicals are recorded in the current space, we will validate the direction of the project with clients and confirm the budget for each category.

Then we will start working on space planning. Once space planning is approved we can proceed with the Design Schematic stage, presenting a few elevations, materials, finishes, furniture and casegood pictures to give client a general idea of our direction. This presentation is to confirm we are in agreement with the clients, based on previously gathered information from the client. Once the client is comfortable we can proceed to implementation.

Implementation:

We will act as a client advocate from the beginning stages, designating details & specifications of the project. We collect pricing on all furniture, and usually pricing on any construction projects related to the overall design. Once the client has approved and signed off on each piece of furniture, fabric, or any custom specifications, we can collect funds for ordering.

Installation:

We will have a day or two of installation once all the upholstery, casegoods, rugs, pillows, art and accessories arrived. Previous to this day, if requested, we could project manage the process of installations with the painters, wallpaper hangers, millwork installation, home theater specialists, window treatments, etcetera, so clients can go on with their daily activities and lifestyle.
